ABA services are an evidence-based approach for building skills or reducing behaviour for people with autism, intellectual disabilities and other developmental disabilities. Our services are individualized to focus on areas of learning and goals specific to your needs, including:
Communication
Social Interaction
Vocational Skills
Financial Skills
Community and Recreation
Daily Life Skills
We provide service wherever you need it, in the home, at our centre or in the community.
Skill Building Planning
All individual services begin with a Getting to Know you phase. This period can focus on skill building or behaviour reduction (Functional Behaviour Assessment) and incorporates family goals. In the assessment period, we will get to know one another and create a customized plan to meet individual goals.
1:1 Goal Based Skill Building
Centre or home-based, short term one-on-one skill-building focuses on a small number of individualized skill building goals. Sessions are facilitated by Behaviour Technicians with supervision from our senior clinicians who are Board Certified Behavior Analysts® and Ontario Autism Program Clinical Supervisors. Programming focuses on individualized goals for social skills, independence, employment or academic readiness, anxiety, recreation, and community integration.
1:1 Behaviour Reduction
Centre or home-based, short term, one-on-one intervention focused on behaviour reduction goals (e.g., challenging behaviour). Facilitated by Behaviour Technicians with supervision from our senior clinicians who are Board Certified Behavior Analysts® and Ontario Autism Program Clinical Supervisors. Clients receiving behaviour reduction intervention and support will likely also need to purchase consultation services to generalize the skills to home and community.
COMMUNITY SKILLS GROUP
This group program supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities including autism. Behaviour Technicians support participants at a 3:1 ratio with supervision from our senior clinicians who are Board Certified Behavior Analysts® and Ontario Autism Program Clinical Supervisors. Programs are tailored to meet individual goals, and include community-based teaching opportunities. Opportunities are provided for individuals to learn independence in recreation and fitness goals, dining, volunteer experiences, social and leisure opportunities, and academic experiences. Small group activities are guided by individual interests.
This program takes place at our Centre at Unit 106 – 101 Cherryhill Blvd. in London, ON. The program runs Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9:00 am – 4:00 pm all year long. There is a winter break during December
We are currently accepting clients for both In-home and centre-based services. To ensure that our program will meet your child’s individual needs, the first step in our process is to schedule a free consultation. At this consultation, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will meet with you to better understand your needs. Please complete our consultation form and a member of our team will contact you with 48 business hours.
