We are recruiting for multiple part-time Behaviour Technicians (mornings, afternoons, evenings and/or Saturday mornings) and full-time Behaviour Technicians (37.5 hours per week). Start dates can be negotiated. Access to BCBA/BCaBA supervision hours.

Salary: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Responsibilities

Under the clinical supervision of a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst® (BCBA®), Behaviour Technicians will:

  • Implement individual and group ABA assessments and therapy services in a variety of settings (home, at our centre, and in the community)
  • Collect, graph, and analyse data for progress monitoring
  • Prepare materials for client sessions
  • Support coaching and training of clients and their family/supports in implementing behaviour analytic programming outside therapy sessions
  • Collaborate with a team of Behaviour Technicians, Behaviour Analysts and Clinical Supervisors involved with clients
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Education

  • Two-year college diploma or university degree in a related field; Ontario College Graduate Certificate in Autism & Behavioural Science, Registered Behaviour Technician ® considered an asset

Minimum Experience

  • Previous work experience with children and/or adults with autism and/or developmental disabilities

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Knowledge of Office 365 (Word, Excel and Outlook systems)
  • Basic knowledge of Applied Behaviour Analysis
  • Strong time management, written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to receive and respond to feedback
  • Strong problem solving abilities and flexibility to adapt to needs of client quickly
  • Ability to run discrete trial training and natural environment training
  • Able to work effectively independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in the French language would be considered an asset

Other

  • Must have a Class ‘G’ Ontario Driver’s License, access to a vehicle and the ability to travel
  • Vulnerable sector screening (mandatory)

Looking Ahead Clinical Services is recruiting for part-time and full-time Behaviour Analyst positions in the London, ON area. Start dates can be negotiated.

Salary: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

  • Complete Functional Behaviour Assessments and Skill Acquisition Assessments (E.g., VB-MAPP, ABLLS)
  • Actively engage clients, families, caregivers, and behaviour technicians to address client-centered goals.
  • Write individualized skill acquisition plans and behaviour reduction programs, using evidence-based information, relevant best practice guidelines, and clinical expertise.
  • Create ongoing data collection systems, support data collection, and analyse data to determine efficacy of implemented strategies;
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of the intervention, client’s response, and progress towards achieving goals.
  • Ongoing training and supervision of behaviour technicians in implementation of ABA principles and methodology
  • Provide consultation and coaching to clients, families, caregivers and behaviour technicians
  • Train team members on data gathering and implementation of skill acquisition plans and behaviour reduction programs through the lens of BCBA;
  • Develop and lead professional development sessions to build the capacity of staff in the areas of ABA strategies, functional behaviour assessment, and the effective use of resources and best practices, as well as staying current with relevant research and evidence-based practices;
  • Prepare reports and maintain appropriate records;
  • Attend meetings and in-service seminars/professional development activities as required;
  • Provide mentorship for Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) candidates, as appropriate;
  • Provide consultation services and to maintain ongoing communication with all constituents (other supports, parents, community, and community agencies).
  • Keep current with the literature, new research findings and resources. In addition, continuing education courses to maintain BCBA certification
  • Maintain all data, paperwork, and communication between personal care staff and families, and to provide ongoing feedback to government agencies that contract with such families.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Education

  • Master’s Degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis or related field or working towards
  • Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) preferred

Minimum Experience

  • Two (2) years experience in implementing Applied Behavioural Analysis or previous experience as a Behaviour Analyst
  • Experience working with children and/or adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Experience leading parent and family training regarding ABA principles
  • Experience conducting a variety of assessments
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Knowledge of Office 365 (Word, Excel and Outlook systems)
  • Strong knowledge of Applied Behaviour Analysis
  • Knowledge and experience with the VBMAPP, ABLLS-R, AFLS
  • Strong time management, written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills
  • Strong professional ethics
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Ability to receive and respond to feedback
  • Able to work effectively independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem solving abilities and flexibility to adapt to needs of client quickly
  • Proficiency in the French language would be considered an asset

  • Current professional liability insurance
  • Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check (within the last six months)
